Many years ago, I saw a picture of a beach with black sand and I’ve been fascinated with black sand beaches ever since. Apparently, the sand on those beaches is black as a result of volcanic activity in the area. This picture is of Punaluu beach in Hawaii. Have you ever been to a black sand beach before? Where was it? What was it like?
