Warm, peaceful, homely.
2. What is your favourite thing to do in Calabar?
I love driving around Calabar and experiencing the beauty and calmness of the city.
3. If you met someone new to Calabar, how would you suggest they spend a day in the city?
Drive around or if you can’t do that, tell a taxi driver to take you around Calabar. Taxi drivers here are usually friendly and when they discover that you’re a visitor, they’ll be excited and want to show you around.
4. What would you say a visitor to Calabar should definitely buy before they leave the city?
Seafood including fish and oysters and vegetables like afang and waterleaf.
5. What do you love most about Calabar?
I love everything about Calabar but my favourite time of year in this city is December. In December when we have our festival, there’s no Governor or Governor’s wife, no VIP or VVIP. Everyone just comes out and has fun.
