When I was little, everyone called me a chatterbox. It looks like it’s actually a positive thing because one of the favourite parts of my career today is talking to audiences about writing, blogging or careers and I got the chance to do this again last week.
Talking goes to your head. Just like alcohol. I’m joking.
Ringier Media (which runs www.nigerianbulletin.com) invited me to speak to its writers on Building a Career in a Creative Industry and I loved it. I run a networking group for young working women called August Women and public speaking ties in neatly with that so I was pretty pleased to be asked to give the mentoring talk. The young women I spoke to were enthusiastic and asked lots of questions. We all had a great time. Public speaking on my favourite topics is something I want to do more of in the future as I enjoy it so much.
This is my best sleepy-yet-wide-awake look. Ha Ha.
