Nail Art: Independence Nails

I started using nail polish as soon as I left secondary school and my nails have hardly gone a week without polish since then.  However, last year, I was getting a bit bored with just painting my nails (I’ve had my nails done by someone else only 3 times in my life, by choice) so when I came across nail art, I fell in love instantly.  Since then, I’ve done a different nail art or design every week and each week, I get better.

People often tell me they like my nails (which I always do myself) so I thought it would be nice to put the pictures of my nail art up on my blog.  I often get inspiration for the art from pictures and blogs I see online and give credit wherever possible.

This first picture is the art I designed to celebrate Nigeria’s Independence Day on October 1st.  Of course, Nigeria’s flag is green-white-green but I felt this mostly white design I did would look better on my nails.  Following this post, I’ll start uploading pictures of my nail art starting with my early ones.  When I upload a recent picture, I’ll let you know.

I hope you like the designs and if you have any questions, let me know in the comments.
