I often associate Scotland with castles (and cold weather but castles are more romantic, of course) and when I think castles in Scotland, the first one that comes to mind is Edinburgh Castle. Edinburgh Castle is thought to have been used as a royal residence since at least the 12th century which is amazing so it’s hardly surprising that it’s one of the most visited tourist attractions in Scotland.
