Picture of the month: Dakar, Senegal

This is Cap Manuel, Dakar, the western-most point of Africa.  Many years ago (during World War 1, it is said), a bunker was hewn into the cliffs of Cap Manuel and a watchtower also built.  To take this picture, one would have to stand on top of the bunker and endure the fierce winds that part of Dakar is known for all the while being aware that a little carelessness could send one careening down the sheer cliff to the rocks below.  There are no rails or safety nets.  Only your instincts protect you here.  Much like life itself.
